Sign up for Shabbat Clusters and find your #ShabbatSquad!
Shabbat Clusters are a great way to meet new people, build community, eat dinner, and celebrate Shabbat in different homes throughout Pittsburgh. Groups are created based on neighborhood, life stage, and requests, with about 6 - 10 people per cluster. Clusters meet once a month for three months and are home-hosted by different members of your cluster.
You do not need to be able to go to all of them to join a cluster. For other Frequently Asked Questions see below.
This initiative is intended for individuals in their 20s & 30s.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who will be in my Shabbat Cluster? You will be grouped into a Shabbat Cluster based on your Pittsburgh neighborhood, friend requests, and your life stage.
How often do Shabbat Clusters meet? Shabbat Clusters will meet once a month for three months. This means you will be doing Shabbat with the same group of people (your cluster) three times.
Where do Shabbat Clusters take place? The location of Shabbat Clusters will vary but are hosted by members of each cluster. There will be different clusters all throughout Pittsburgh.
Do Shabbat Clusters cost anything? Shabbat Clusters are free to all participants. Shabbat Cluster hosts will be asked to sign up as a Shabbat host through OneTable to help subsidize your dinner. If you anticipate wanting to host a Shabbat dinner for your cluster at any point, please sign up to be a Shabbat host at https://dinners.onetable.org/host/promote.
If I know I can't make one of the dates, should I still sign up? Yes! Creating clusters takes significant time and thoughtful planning; we ask that you only register for our Shabbat Clusters if you can commit to attending at least two out of the three dinners. If you can't make at least two, please email tolyjc@treeoflifepgh.org; we will let you know if an alternative date cluster is created. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Can I sign up for my friend/partner/spouse? Yes, but each individual person must have a separate registration form.
Can I be placed in a cluster with my friends or significant other? We would love to put you in a cluster with your friend! There is a section in the registration form to request this. Please make sure that both of you fill this out in order for the request to be considered. We only allow each person to sign up with 1 friend to help everyone make new friends. We will do our best to fulfill all requests.
What is a Cluster Coordinator? The cluster coordinator works to finalize a location & time for each Shabbat Dinner. They will also help each host with additional coordination as needed. If you are interested but have additional questions feel free to email us at tolyjc@treeoflifepgh.org
