COVID Safety Protocols
Dear Tree of Life Family,
As we approach the High Holidays, we are excited to provide a meaningful and safe way to pray and connect to each other, G-d, and our community at large. However you choose to connect with Tree of Life, we hope you will find inspiration and comfort during this time.
The link for viewing all High Holiday services at home can be found on your ticket.
A pre-recorded High Holiday family video service will be available on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Below are the guidelines and protocols for our in person services, which will take place at Calvary Episcopal Church:
- All those in attendance must present a ticket. If you have not received your ticket(s), please contact the synagogue office. Click here to purchase additional tickets or guest tickets.
- All individuals in attendance must be vaccinated AND show proof of vaccination upon your first entry to Calvary. Please bring your vaccination card or a copy or image of your vaccination card.
- Masks are required for all individuals over the age of 2 and must be worn at all times while indoors.
- Physical distancing should be maintained; families and households are encouraged to sit distanced from other families and households. There are no assigned seats. All seating is open seating.
- In the interest of keeping our children and youth safe, babysitting and children's/youth services will NOT be provided.
These protocols represent the up-to-date recommendations of our High Holiday Committee, which includes medical professionals, as well as current CDC guidelines. They are subject to change.
Please feel free to contact the synagogue office at 412-521-6788 with any questions.

We are delighted to offer you this special gift to beautify your personal prayer space in your home for the High Holidays. Called a Mizrach, which literally means "East," Jews over the millenia have placed artistic designations on the eastern wall of their homes so that they always knew which direction to face when praying. We hope that this Mizrach adds meaning to your holidays. We offer a special thank you to Sandy Riemer for the design which incorporates a beautiful image of the ark from our Tree of Life sanctuary.

For people who do not connect with religious services, these songs may be more accessible vehicles through which to connect with the major themes of the High Holidays; for others, they may function as a supplement.
