Please join us for a discussion exploring the topic of alcohol and addictive drugs in the United States from the landing of the Pilgrims to today. Introducing the concept of ethnicity and culture in relation to its force for controlling or regulating consumption and addiction.
The lecture will be presented by Tree of Life Congregant, Ralph E. Tarter, Ph.D.
Dr. Tarter is Director of the NIDA-funded Center for Education and Drug Abuse Research (CEDAR) and Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. His research interests focus on the neurobehavioral antecedents and consequences of substance abuse. On these topics, he has published 11 books, 300 peer reviewed articles, and 80 book chapters.
