Samantha is a Pittsburgh native with strong ties to the Pittsburgh Jewish community. She attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate education, and she graduated with a BA in English Writing, a minor in Religious Studies, and certificates in Jewish Studies and Gender Studies. She also has a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Clarion University, which sparked her interest in genealogy research. Previously, she worked at the Hillel Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh as an administrative and operations assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, serving as co-President of her sorority alumnae association, and attending Pens games with her sister.
