High Holidays

Dear Tree of Life Family,

As we approach the High Holidays, we are excited to provide a meaningful and safe way to pray and connect to each other, G-d, and our community at large. However you choose to connect with Tree of Life, we hope you will find inspiration and comfort during this time.

The link for viewing all High Holiday services at home will be emailed to all members. Members will not receive physical tickets this year and will check in with a greeter at the entrance, who will have the membership list. Click here to purchase additional tickets or guest tickets.

A pre-recorded High Holiday family video service will be available on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Below are the guidelines and protocols for our in person services, which will take place at Calvary Episcopal Church:

  • All individuals in attendance must be fully vaccinated (boosters not required) AND proof of vaccination must be on file with the office or shown upon your first entry to Calvary. Please email a photo of your vaccination card to office@treeoflifepgh.org or bring your vaccination card or a copy or image of your vaccination card.
  • Masks are required for all individuals over the age of 2 and must be worn at all times while indoors.
  • There are no assigned seats. All seating is open seating.
  • In the interest of keeping our children and youth safe, babysitting and children's/youth services will NOT be provided.

These protocols represent the up-to-date recommendations of our High Holiday Committee, which includes medical professionals, as well as current CDC guidelines. They are subject to change.

Please feel free to contact the synagogue office at 412-521-6788 with any questions.

May the New Year bless us with good health, peace, and prosperity.

Shana Tovah!

Guest Tickets

We are happy to welcome non-members to our high holiday services. However, you MUST have a ticket in order to attend in person and you must present ticket for entry. Although COVID numbers may change and protocols will be re-evaluated, for now we still plant to hold in person, masked, distanced services at Calvary Episcopal Church. For those understandably hesitant to attend in person, we will have online access available. Calvary has also upgraded their live streaming capabilities so we will have a top-quality live stream available on the Tree of Life YouTube channel for all services.

Non-members, please use the payment form below to purchase your in-person full high holiday ticket(s) at $180* per person (includes both days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services) or $54 for a single day of the holidays. The cost for streaming is only $36, which gives access to all the High Holiday services.

*Student tickets are free with valid ID.

If you belong to a congregation in another city and will be in Pittsburgh to attend services, you may upload a letter from your home synagogue confirming that you are a member in good standing and we will happily provide you a ticket at no cost.

For other exceptions/circumstances, please email office@treeoflifepgh.org.

If you are a current member, your tickets are included in membership and will be mailed to you. You can use this form to order additional tickets for elderly relatives and children up to 30 years old that are returning to Pittsburgh for the holidays. Tickets for children 26 and under in school or living at home are included in your membership.

You may select full holiday tickets or a single day ticket.
