Tree of Life seeks an energetic, self-motivated, and experienced individual to join our campaign and administrative team. 

The Coordinator will be a trusted partner who is integral to the successful operation of our congregation as a whole, and primarily our upcoming REMEMBER. REBUILD. RENEW. campaign. This position also provides administrative support to the Executive Director and Rabbi. The position reports to the Executive Director. We are looking for a candidate who has excellent organizational and communication skills, experience with QuickBooks and nonprofit fundraising including CRM databases.

  • Update, manage and track all donations and pledges; maintain contact lists and enter data; maintain campaign donation and pledge CRM; manage acceptance letters, gift acknowledgement letters, pledge payment reminders.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the campaign.
  • Assist with funding proposals and grant reports.
  • Provide support to the working groups, board, staff and other lay leaders and consultants as they relate to campaign planning and implementation.
  • Schedule and coordinate campaign meetings, working groups, cultivation events and other meetings and events related to the campaign; prepare briefings for meetings by obtaining relevant and critical information, materials and research prior to meetings.
  • Prepare materials and correspondences including meeting notifications, agendas, minutes, acknowledgements and reports. Organize and maintain files.
  • Schedule meetings and communications as needed, including those involving the Board- calendar notices, zoom calls; send meeting notices/reminders for committees, board, work groups, etc.
  • Assist the Rabbi by managing calendar and email correspondence, responding to general inquiries, track information, and coordinate media and interview requests etc.
  • Process incoming mail -date stamp, sort to deposits, bill pay, other Identify donor intent and prepare deposits of checks received. 
  • Post donations and pledges in ShulCloud (CRM) and campaign tracker (if applicable).
  • Prepare bill payments/checks weekly; enter invoices into QuickBooks/cut checks for signature Run financial and other reports from QuickBooks and ShulCloud for committees and board.
  • Assist with preparation of mailings as requested.
  • Check, monitor, respond to messages in general email inbox General filing Attend staff meetings.

  • Must have the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality, ability to recognize and handle confidential information in an appropriate manner, show tact and strong interpersonal communications skills Strong computer and administrative skills. 
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word & Excel. Ability to adapt to changing technology and implement new developments to increase productivity.
  • Previous experiences with QuickBooks and/or bookkeeping activities.
  • Previous experience with ShulCloud and/or other cloud-based database/CRM systems.
  • Three years nonprofit community-based or religious institution experience.
  • Knowledge of Jewish customs, practices and organizations or interest in learning is a definite asset. 

Full-time (35 hours a week). Remote working condition to start. When the easing of the pandemic will allow, this position requires a person to be present during office hours on weekdays. Given the nature and sensitivity of the job, the person must also be available on some weekends and evenings. Periodically, the individual may need to check their email on the weekend and possibly come to work.


Salary range $32,500-$35,000; Paid Time Off; Health Insurance
